Nature is full of wondrous phenomena. We may not – & frequently don’t- realize the beautiful vistas nature puts on display for us, as they are so evanescent and we in our foolish preoccupation with more mundane matters tend to overlook these.

A sunset and sunrise are a recurring set of events, each must lead to the other. I always try to capture the beauty and rhythm of the cycle of sunset and sunrise, and how they complement each other in a never-ending dance. The natural world is full of such wonders, photography and poetry are such great tools to celebrate and reflect on them. Store the beauty for a heartening revisit at leisure to vicariously derive pleasure for the beauty we haven’t noticed and could have lost. Check out this short poem in the form of an octet, couldn’t come up with a longer one first up today.

Sunset’s fiery glow departs,
Night’s darkness claims the heart,
But then, in dawn’s embrace,
Sunrise blooms, a new grace.

The cycle spins, a never-end,
Light and dark, a perfect blend,
Each sunset yields to sunrise’s might,
The dance of light, always a wondrous sight.
