They are able to convey so much more without having to use the spoken or written word.

Undoubtedly, every canine parent will vouch for this. If humans around a canine show some alertness, sensitivity and willingness to learn, they will be able to pick up some of these.

Speaking for myself, my ability to understand others has increased manifold ever since we were blessed by resident canines. I find I am able to understand my patients’ minds much better now, often before they have voiced their thoughts and feelings. I would give the credit for this to my four legged teachers: Dollar first, and Choco next.

The little one is exceedingly shy of the camera. This is one of his favourite positions when he wants to withdraw from humans while still being in the thick of things. Watching us from close quarters, the sulking lasts till he discovers some titbit proffered to him. Life should be like that. We should be prepared to jettison our negative thoughts at the first opportunity and not let them fester and grow.
